Position description :
The Demand Planner is responsible for creating the demand plan on a 0 to 5 year horizon for Multi Market Channel Perimeter, working with Channel Team, Regional marketing, division.
The Demand Planner needs to generate a reliable unconstrained, layered demand forecast, interacting with Groups and Regions, detecting and anticipating demand signals and trends (including NPIs).
Develop a strong understanding of the market and especially customer needs by continuously collaborating with market, customer, and product experts and identifying relevant data sources.
Reach alignment with Groups and Regions, by interpreting and synthesizing information from all relevant sources, escalating to the Market Segment Demand Planning Leader when alignment cannot be reached
Continuously identify opportunities to improve the Demand Planning process, proposing and implementing these improvement opportunities
Extensive expertise in supply chain management, particularly in demand planning
In-depth understanding of product lifecycle, market analysis and trends for the specific perimeter within the market segment
Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., fostering trust, collaborating with colleagues in other organizations, managing conflict)
Strong communication skills (e.g., effectively delivering messages) and effective decision-making
Understanding of analytical capabilities to develop strong demand planning forecasts (e.g., analytical methods and techniques, algorithms)
Experience in guiding development of analytics models (e.g., providing clear objectives/end products, identifying potential inputs/triggers) and in translating analytical insights into actions (e.g., interpreting forecasting patterns, embedding model outputs into own estimates)
