Position description :
Engineers on the team are responsible on day to day communication and support of a very key customer. This is a very hands-on individual contributor role with duties focused on field quality issues, must be experienced with failure analysis reports, 8D reports including root causes detections, containment and corrective actions. In addition to this role, it is expected to participate in npi discussions with R&D teams.
The Field Quality Engineering team’s mission is to work with a key customer on field or factory issues related to STMicroelectronics’s products in collaboration with large cross-section of other engineering teams.
Field Quality

We are seeking a multi-faceted Engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of identifying, analyzing, root causing, implementing corrective actions and reporting on issues affecting the products to management and other engineering teams.
To be effective, the Field Quality Engineer will need to be intimately familiar with the failure analysis tools and equipment. The Field quality engineer will work with other Engineering teams to quickly mitigate and implement containment and corrective actions of field issues to improve quality. 
 
A successful Field Quality Engineer must be technical, organized, driven, able to resolve conflicts, detailed orientated, must be able to communicate with ease, calm in the face of pressure. Lead responsibilities will include:
Working directly with customer quality engineers in Europe to help drive the analysis of customers’ returned units
experienced with 8 D reports
Understands destructive and non destructive failure analysis (FA) methods
Be familiar with equipments used in FA
Participate in failure analysis discussions 
Be familiar with DPPM, KPIs…etc
Commit to work under high time deliverable pressure with solid results 
Participate in new product development introduction 
Able to interpret, analyze and summarize data
Be familiar with front end and back end processes for WLCSP
Work with sales organization to support and resolve any technical issues coming the customer that could lead to interruption of supply line
Must have excellent communications skills, collaboration, and ability to support a key customer with high expectations
Good technical skills
Must work well with others and able to build good relationship with the customer 
Must be committed
Excellent problem solving
Flexible in the face of changes
Able to travel domestically and internationally
Product engineering experience is a plus
