Position description :
This role will be responsible for the planning, management, development and monitoring of the Company’s accounting and finance function to ensure optimal effectiveness, efficiency and compliance, with an ongoing focus on value adding, innovation and continuous improvement. The role will ensure that the Finance Team is highly regarded and valued as a strategic partner to the Company and that the Corporate Internal Reporting function is high quality, reliable and timely. Supporting the top management, this role will assist in delivering high quality and timely financial reports to achieve the Company’s financial goals as well as ensuring the delivery of a sustainable processes that supports and enables the Company’s business. Finally, this role will ensure that all financial compliance, regulatory, legal and reporting requirements are professionally managed and fully satisfied.
Manage and oversee all accounting and finance systems, processes and procedures.
Ensure full consistency between legal / external financial reporting and business / internal financial reporting (from maintenance closing to P&L release).
Closely monitor closing processes to ensure full consistency, adjusting (results or processes) if necessary, to ensure balances.
Coordinate various semi-automatic processes requiring various stakeholders’ inputs to be compiled and/or computed (Indirect taxes allocations, uncommitted inventories, etc.)
Ensure full documentation availability, organize training for best knowledge sharing
Drive innovation and continuous improvement of all finance and accounting systems, processes, procedures, reporting, data management and analysis.
Creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
Establish an inventory reserve account for obsolete inventories every quarter.
Ensure integrity, quality and accuracy of the process according to GAAP requirements.
Coordinate with product groups or Regions (related controllers + planning) and ICT (Product Life Management + Finance) any organizational change in product hierarchy or sales
Represent Finance community on project boards, lead domain working group, arbitrate, mitigate and trade-off various needs.
Ensure that all compliance, regulatory, legal, audit and governance requirements are fully satisfied
Foster and promote a high performance and outcomes focused team culture.
Provide clear communication and ensure the Finance Team are kept informed of team, department, and Company level information.
Ensure the Finance team has a customer relationship focus that delivers timely, reliable and value add service and advice to Company management and staff.
Develop the capabilities and capacity of the Finance Team.
