Objective of the role:
Lead Global Trade Compliance Organization system automation initiatives, identify solutions that drive efficiencies and meet regulatory requirements, and coordinate their implementation and adoption with all impacted business stakeholders
The main accountabilities of this function are to:
-Manage the SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) automation roadmap for GTCO and ensure timely deliverables of system change requests:
-Coordinate with the Information Technology (IT) department the prioritizing of system change requests, ensure proper resources and time commitment for solution deployment
-Develop and manage a System & solutions team that will support and execute the automation roadmap in coordination with IT
-Improve the through put rate and cycle time of GTCO system change requests
-Engage on regular basis with Supply Chain Organization (SCO)’s System and Process team for alignment with central automation and digitalization initiatives.
-Drive deployment of trade compliance requirements in ST’s Product Life Management ( PLM) tool and oversee updates and enhancements as needed.
-Partner with counterparts in other groups/orgs for increased coordination of GTS screening, including Sanctioned Party List (SPL), sales order screening, etc.
This role will:
– Identify and select the best options for automating GTCO operations and activities; Based on the available options, develop the right GTS solution to deploy for GTCO operations and activities.
– At the outset of any initiative, bridge the technical expertise with the operational regulations; draw on GTCO domain knowledge to provide clear business requirements, technical specifications and desired results
– Oversee and drive the engagement with DTIT to realize the system solutions, including blueprints, prototypes, user testing and validation to qualify the solution and ultimately to ensure that it produces the expected benefits.
– Communicate the results of these GTS solutions to relevant business users, coordinate training and prepare the documentation necessary to properly support change management and adoption by the stakeholders.”
Expertise in both industry and company processes and systems
Trade Compliance knowledge at multiple jurisdictions and complexity of rule applications in an automated environment
Technical fluency & Problem solving
Knowledge of available systems and tools and to what business problems they can be applied
Strong knowledge of SAP-GTS and its key modules including SPL Screening, Import Module, Licence Management
Drive an initiative from ideation through production and adoption and have an understanding of the life cycle and the common pitfalls
Has excellent communication and cross functional skills and ability to effectively escalate / involve senior management
Show enthusiasm, commitment, and be business savvy to navigate the many technical and organizational roadblocks that can emerge
Candidates with a proven track record of leading or a member of the the GTS Systems and Solutions team within a multinational company is highly preferred
Education level required : 4 – Bachelor degree
